Industry Principals Council
The Industry Principals Council which meets on a quarterly basis brings together the senior UK executives from each of the Association’s major company members. The Council discusses issues that are relevant to the whole of the construction products industry and sets the policy priorities for the Association on each of these issues.

Trade Association Council
Made up of the Chief Executive/Director General/senior staff member from each of the member trade associations, the Trade Association Council considers strategic issues of relevance to the construction products industry and agrees Association policies and priorities in relation to these.
Meetings are held quarterly and, representatives from external organisations such as the BIS, other Government Departments, the Bank of England, are invited to attend for particular discussion items.

Market Information Committee
The Market Information Committee's primary function is to ensure that members of the Association have the latest information regarding the state of the industry, its future prospects and other economic information that is of value to members to help the Association in pursuing its policy objectives. It also serves to drive forward research within the sector.

Technical Committee
The Technical Committee develops an Association response to, and policy on, the major Technical Committee issues facing the industry. These include the Construction Products Directive, Building Regulations, Codes and Standards, and other legislative and regulatory proposals. External Affairs Committee
The External Affairs Committee develops strategy for ensuring the Association has maximum influence on those to whom our policies are directed. This includes UK Government, civil servants, and members of all the main political parties; the European Parliament and Commission; Bank of England and Monetary Policy Committee; CBI and IOD; and various agencies, as well as others parts of the construction industry.
The committee co-ordinates the Association’s lobbying activity with that of other sector trade associations and major company members. It also advises on all other public relations related issues such as media links and communication with members.

Networking Forum
The Networking Forum brings together manufacturers and suppliers, with clients, designers and contractors, to discuss the barriers and opportunities for integrated working and early involvement of manufacturers and suppliers in construction projects.
Each meeting includes presentations to demonstrate the benefits of working in integrated teams and supply chains and the value that manufacturers can contribute through innovative products and processes.

Crossrail Group
Crossrail is the biggest engineering project in Europe and will deliver a high frequency, high capacity rail service to 37 stations linking Maidenhead and Heathrow in the west to Shenfield and Abbey Wood in the east via 21km of new twin-bore tunnels under central London. It will bring an additional 1.5 million people within 34 minutes’ commuting distance of London’s key business districts.
The Association aims to involve the product manufacturers in the development of the Crossrail project so as to enhance integrated working and best practice and to encourage early involvement of the supply chain, to add maximum value to this major infrastructure project.
Nuclear New Build Liaison Group
The government has announced its support for New Nuclear facilities to be included in the mix for energy supply for the UK. Eight sites have been identified and early preparatory work is underway on the first of these sites ready for planning approval.
The Association’s objective is to ensure that UK product manufacturers and suppliers benefit from the construction of New Nuclear power stations in the UK and to encourage early involvement of the supply chain to deliver benefits over cost and sustainability to these projects.

Strategic Forum for Construction brings together the main umbrella bodies representing the different parts of the construction industry.
